1. Get a manicure! Your hand is about to be the main focus of hundreds of
photos and you don’t want to embarrass yourself with un kept nails. Zip into
your favorite salon and start soaking those fingers!

2. Set a Budget! Have a nice, sit down, chat at home, with whomever is
supporting your wedding- it could be you, your fiancé, his parents or yours.

A private family gathering is essential in the early stages so that everyone is
on the same path. The conversation may be awkward, but it needs to be addressed
before anything becomes planned.

3. Insure your ring! If your Love hasn’t done this already, make sure it is done immediately. The jeweler (where it was purchased) should have suggestions about certified insurers. Make sure you get an appraisal slip from your jewelerso the absolute replacement value can be determined.

4. Sign up for Sale Alerts! Your wedding dress is going to be a major purchase, but your accessories don’t need to be. Many
designers have major sales and throughout the year. Check out their sites and sign up.

5. Sign up for Pinterest!  Pinterest is the motherland of inspiration! You will be on this site for hours & gather so
many ideas! Majority of the ideas have step by step directions on how to create
the masterpieces. You will want to save (or pin) all of your favorites, from
your dress, to the cake, to favors, and creative keepsakes.

6. Talk $$$ with your Fiancée! Money is always an uncomfortable topic, but it needs to be done, so put on your big girl pants and
do it! You both will need to know all the logistics of combining bank accounts. Make sure you also discuss with your parents about CDs, trusts, or other important documents that may need to change or not change once you become man
& wife.

 7. Sign up for Trunk Show Alerts! Follow your local bridal
boutique on Facebook or Twitter to get all the latest info about an upcoming
sale or trunk show. This will allow you to see your favorite designer’s newest
creations straight off the runway.

 8. Chose a diet & STICK TO IT! If you plan to lose weight or tone up for your wedding and honeymoon, the worst thing you could do is crash diet at the last minute. If you want to lose more than 5 pounds, give yourself 9-12 months to do it. Pick a proven plan like Weight Watchers or JennyCraig. Ask your Fiancé to invest a few months of a personal trainer for just
you or as a couple.  Make a pact to get into shape together with a personal workout plan. Working out with your Fiancé allows
you to support each other even more and get healthy at the same time! If your Fiancé can’t find time, ask one of your bridesmaids.

 9. Pick a location! Whether it is selecting the city or the venue, the most
important decision needs to be determining the location of the wedding. This
may need to be something that you get everyone’s advice on; his family and
yours, as they will have an opinion.

10. Hire a planner! It doesn’t matter how organized you can be or how
creative you are, a planner will be your right hand person. As it gets closer
and closer to your day, a planner can help you with everything!  From the moment you get engaged, to your
wedding day, they can also assist you with developing a timeline and assist you
with weekend coordination. A planner will have many connections to venues and
vendors for your day. This will allow you to save time and expense plus
allowing everyone to sit back and enjoy the day without missing a precious
minute.

Needless to say, our Trendsetting Team went right to work.  Brooke wanted her mom to have a party similar to all the nice weddings she does.  We wanted it to be elegant, memorable and a time all of her friends plus family could really enjoy.

We started with her favorite color, purple.  Next, we created a peacock themed birthday invitation to the Panorama Room at the Sheraton City Centre www.sheraton.com/indianapolis .  This was a great venue to see all of the holiday lights, plus lure her there under the pretense she would go to the top of the building to view the holiday decor (needless to say, everyone was waiting inside for the big SURPRISE).

We used eggplant and gold linens and gold chivari chairs.  Our in house floral designer, Jim, created the most beautiful florals.  We had lots of twinkling candles, a candy buffet www.natescandyjar.com  and plenty of well wishes.  Add to that a cake from Classic Cakes www.classiccakescarmel.com  that looked like their RV (the birthday girl and Brooke’s dad love to travel) and a photo booth by Happy Snaps www.happysnapsphotobooth.com  to get everybody “happy”.

Brooke said that Pat woke up the next day and told her husband she had had the most wonderful dream.  She said she had a fabulous birthday party with all of her friends, amazing decor and great food.  Of course her husband explained it wasn’t a dream, it was the truth! What a great birthday!  What a great story!

All aboard! Destination, Happily Ever After! Our October 8, 2011 wedding at St. Luke’s Catholic Church

and the Grand Hall/ Union Station, Indianapolis was definitely a dream trip for our Bride and Groom, Josh and Leslie.  Their love story
begins upon meeting at their alma mater, Butler University.  The friendship grew into a romance that has been filled with joy and love!  When the couple became engaged they immediately came to us to begin design of their
wedding. They had two details in place; the church, St. Luke’s Catholic Church and the reception, Grand Hall/Union Station a historic train station located downtown in Indianapolis.

Our wheels began rolling and we went right on track to givethis couple a ride of a lifetime! Beginning with the save the dates, we loved our designers creation of a train ticket to attend the couple’s wedding in hues of their wedding palette-midnight blue and sunny yellow.

After months of planning, the arrival day is here and the guests begin checking in to St. Luke’s for a full Mass.  After the intimate vows and well wishes, the wedding party departs onto a trolley to take them to a destination of special sites for pictures on Butler’s Campus the Indianapolis Art Museum and at the Holcomb Gardens, while their guests begin “rolling” into the Grand Hall

As their guests arrive they are greeted by a huge ice luge carved into a train engine.  Guests gathered to view it and grab a signature drink, the Tarble Tini (named after the new Mr.and Mrs. Tarble).  The majestic carved wooden bar with marble and leaded glass lured guests to enjoy the moment before the “last call” for dinner.

Next, guests filed into the ball room and were “directed” to their “assigned seats”.  Each seat had a special place card with a small ticket assuring the guests “great service” and their selected meal.  The crisp white linens and midnight blue napkins were the perfect accents for the array of sunny blooms and twinklingcandlelight that the tables offered.

What a treat it was to have the Bride’s father and his band play for dancing and celebration.  The
Atlanta, Georgia based band, Gypsy Union,  journeyed to Indianapolis to provide an out of state and extraordinary experience for the guests.

Much too soon the last call was sounding as guests knew the final destination was in sight. Scurrying outside to see the Bride and Groom depart for their journey, guests grabbed sparklers that ignited against the midnight blue velvet skies like shooting stars.  The Bride and Groom jumped on to a rickshaw and headed for their final destination; Happily Ever After!
