Mr. and Mrs. Anthony and Kimberly “Conley” Denning

Our Bride and Groom, Kimberly and Anthony Denning could not have chosen a better
day to express their love; Their October wedding day was a perfect Autumn  day with just
the lots of sun and bursts of blue skies. ……At last!

They both had a distinct vision of what they
wanted and we provided it!    Anthony and Kimberly chose a ”Fall Sunset” theme with beautiful jewel tones of magenta, amber, coral and plums.

The former military couple met at their sons ballgames. Soon, Anthony became a “winner” with Kimberly.  Next,  they became engaged and the wedding planning began! After months of planning each detail, their big day finally arrived. What a wonderful group of people to work with! As family and friends gathered together to witness Kimberly and Anthony exchange their vows at University United Methodist Church we were fortunate enough to meet them all and enjoy their many talents.  Anthony’s brother, Josh Denning, tours the world as a vocalist and gave an amazing rendition of . Julliard trained keyboardist Dr. Virginia Jefferson  and her daughter, NYC entertainment attorney, Ms. Virginia Jefferson offered the ceremony music.

We will NEVER forget Kimberly coming down the aisle to “At Last”.  All eyes were on the bride as she walked through the thousands of rose petals, making her way to the altar.

After the ceremony, guests travelled to the Embassy Suites for the reception.  The  ballroom at the Embassy Suites North was filled with hundreds of different shaped colored vases in the Bride’s palette of  magenta, amber, plum, and gold.  Kimberly ventured all over Indy to collect the unique and colorful vases that  accented the tables. Each of the vases was unique in size and shape- allowing for her vision of a spectacular  sunset look.  We loved the accents of custom eggplant linens, gold chargers and colored votives glowing throughout the evening.

The dance floor was never empty and once Kimberly changed into her lighter, ’dance ready’ dress, she was in step doing the Electric Slide
with her minister.  Dr. Moore’s smooth moves  captured everyone on the dance floor, as they followed him step by step- Electric Sliding.

Kimberly, a former US Army Police Officer and her husband,Anthony a former US Air Force Dental Hygienist share a love for good food , and travel.  Their goal is to explore the globe together. They are looking forward to travelling all around the world in the upcoming years.

Kimberly and Anthony were married- ”At Last”

Mr. and Mrs. Knapp at the Bridgewater

The Bridgewater Club, Carmel, was the setting of the intimate and beautiful wedding of Adam and Brittny (Galloway) Knapp. We loved the privilege of being able to share this very special day with them. The ceremony was held on the pavilion in the tent while the reception was hosted in the grand ballroom. Candlelight, celebration, dining and dancing all made this a very special moment.

Brittny was gorgeous!

Shoes That Could Make People Look Up to You

A New Fall Fashion Statement

Our friends at Barney’s New York www.barneys.com just sent me a picture of some shoes I had to share with you.  As you all know, I love shoes.  This time, Alexander Wang www.alexanderwang.com has really set the bar high with this pair.  I love the rich ebony leather and the platform included for “comfort”.  Wouldn’t these look great with about anything and anywhere?  What are your favorite shoes and why?

Brown County Wedding

This fall, we had the privilege to escape to one of the most beautiful and secluded areas in Brown County for a wedding.  This wasn’t our typical wedding and we loved it!  We began with inspiration from the historic barn;washed with old red, faded paint.  It was a gem!  We ordered LOTS of sunshine, vibrant blue skies and beautiful leaves for Heather and Ricky too.

The setting was far down a one lane gravel road, with a big old barn, a flowing creek and a landscape you only see in pictures.  There, we set up rows of freshly cut straw, covered them with handmade quilts and set up a small altar for our couple.  It couldn’t have been prettier!  We loved the denim on the guys and the cowboy boots on our bridesmaids!  Everyone loved photo shots in and out of the barn.  We especially loved the picture of our bride and groom walking down the road to “happily ever after”.  What’s your favorite?

A Few Little Trinkets Your Valentine Will Love

Cupid is coming and we here at Kim King Smith Events have been searching for the best Valentine gifts for your sweetheart. Our ideas will melt your heart and be ideas we know you and your Valentine will love!

Let’s begin with cards.  We love the greeting cards that are blank inside.  This is the perfect way to say exactly what you feel. http://www.simplyuniquegreetingcards.com/shop/luxury-valentine-cards  If you need to be on the lighter side, a vintage valentine is fun and can be romantic http://www.etsy.com/search_results.php?search_query=vintage+style+valentine+cards&search_type=handmade or a musical valentine can keep the evening light and fun.

Next sweets for your sweetheart.  Our favorite has to be Nate’s Candy Jar, http://natescandyjar.com/history/ .  We love them because they have handmade chocolates, retro candy and love-ly packaging; all the candies you loved as a kid and all the candies you love now.  We also are falling for 240 Sweet, Artisan Marshmallows http://240sweet.com/ .  Our favorite are the chai and salty caramel swirl.  Little puffs of pleasure !

What about dinner for two?  The Skyline Club http://www.clubcorp.com/Clubs/Skyline-Club-Indianapolis has to be one of our very favorites, romance on top of the world.  Indy’s skylight, great food and candlelight ambience.  We also are crazy about the Indigo Duck http://theindigoduck.com/menu/ .  This is a new restaurant on the southside that offers gourmet dining that is fresh and fun.  Lastly, what is more romantic than an Italian dinner for two?  Tre Bicchieri http://www.trebicchieri-columbus.com/ and Bucca di Beppo http://www.bucadibeppo.com/locations/default1403.aspx are great choices.

Nothing is more fun and exciting than receiving a gift wrapped in a little box.  We love little boxes and know you do too.  Our team is now offering Engagement Proposal Creation for those that are a little hesitant on how to present the BEST PRESENT.  We coordinate and create the perfect setting and situation for you to ask that BIG question.  We make sure it is romantic and memorable, something you will share and talk about  forever.

A few added fun treats could be a personal serenade by a classical guitarist, flowers delivered to your table, a special dessert with two spoons or an amazing bottle of wine.

Whatever you decide, you will be loved!
