Lace is the Look

The runway report is in and lace is the new look! Its intricate beauty has captivated queens and starlets since Queen Victoria, and today it
is making a classy comeback with modern cuts and details. If you are looking for something very romantic and soft, lace is a beautiful material for a timeless wedding. It is ultrafeminine, classic, and romantic. Interested in adding a one of a kind detail to your dress? Lace capelets have the look of old Hollywood glam and can be wornover a lace gown. This little added coverage over a strapless gown is a greatvintage or two-in-one look, especially if you are on a budget! Lace is atimeless material, and some go so far as to makelace the theme of their decor. Check out some of these lace accents!

Mr. and Mrs. Anthony and Kimberly “Conley” Denning

Our Bride and Groom, Kimberly and Anthony Denning could not have chosen a better
day to express their love; Their October wedding day was a perfect Autumn  day with just
the lots of sun and bursts of blue skies. ……At last!

They both had a distinct vision of what they
wanted and we provided it!    Anthony and Kimberly chose a ”Fall Sunset” theme with beautiful jewel tones of magenta, amber, coral and plums.

The former military couple met at their sons ballgames. Soon, Anthony became a “winner” with Kimberly.  Next,  they became engaged and the wedding planning began! After months of planning each detail, their big day finally arrived. What a wonderful group of people to work with! As family and friends gathered together to witness Kimberly and Anthony exchange their vows at University United Methodist Church we were fortunate enough to meet them all and enjoy their many talents.  Anthony’s brother, Josh Denning, tours the world as a vocalist and gave an amazing rendition of . Julliard trained keyboardist Dr. Virginia Jefferson  and her daughter, NYC entertainment attorney, Ms. Virginia Jefferson offered the ceremony music.

We will NEVER forget Kimberly coming down the aisle to “At Last”.  All eyes were on the bride as she walked through the thousands of rose petals, making her way to the altar.

After the ceremony, guests travelled to the Embassy Suites for the reception.  The  ballroom at the Embassy Suites North was filled with hundreds of different shaped colored vases in the Bride’s palette of  magenta, amber, plum, and gold.  Kimberly ventured all over Indy to collect the unique and colorful vases that  accented the tables. Each of the vases was unique in size and shape- allowing for her vision of a spectacular  sunset look.  We loved the accents of custom eggplant linens, gold chargers and colored votives glowing throughout the evening.

The dance floor was never empty and once Kimberly changed into her lighter, ’dance ready’ dress, she was in step doing the Electric Slide
with her minister.  Dr. Moore’s smooth moves  captured everyone on the dance floor, as they followed him step by step- Electric Sliding.

Kimberly, a former US Army Police Officer and her husband,Anthony a former US Air Force Dental Hygienist share a love for good food , and travel.  Their goal is to explore the globe together. They are looking forward to travelling all around the world in the upcoming years.

Kimberly and Anthony were married- ”At Last”

Mr. and Mrs. Knapp at the Bridgewater

The Bridgewater Club, Carmel, was the setting of the intimate and beautiful wedding of Adam and Brittny (Galloway) Knapp. We loved the privilege of being able to share this very special day with them. The ceremony was held on the pavilion in the tent while the reception was hosted in the grand ballroom. Candlelight, celebration, dining and dancing all made this a very special moment.

Brittny was gorgeous!

This event was held in the Columbia Club http://www.columbia-club.org/  Our table was “set” for an engagement proposal.  We loved the romance and elegance of the noir linens and pewter accents.   We love working at the Columbia Club and are always amazed at the artistry and creativeness of Nathaniel Edmunds Photography.

Alli and Colin

Alli and Colin make me smile! They were so happy, so sweet! We were delighted to assist them with their wedding,  It was urban chic at its best.  Held at the marvelous Mavris Center, it had a lot of urban elements we loved. The loft hosted a very intimate and sweet ceremony, the rooftop a fun and fabulous cocktail hour with the reception being clean lined, urban chic.  We won’t forget the lively dancing and laughter, the gorgeous palette of fuchsia, lime and cornflower, the streams of electric blue lights, the dear families and friends or the bright lights of the city shining down on this very special couple.

Bryan and Stefanie

Bryan and Stefanie how do we even begin to put your wedding into words! The love this couple had for each other was evident from the early hours of the girls getting their hair and make-up done to when the last song was finally played at their Spanish Garden themed reception.

So to provide you, the reader, with even an ounce of how marvelous this day truly was, not only for Bryan and Stefanie, but for Kim King Smith Events, I am going to give you the spectacular details of their wedding day.

The ceremony took place at St. John’s Catholic Cathedral Church in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. The bride, Stefanie, walked down the aisle to the entry she had always dreamed of; the famous Sound of Music song, “How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?” (We were definitely clapping and cheering in the back!)  As the two heavy, wooden doors opened and the bride proceeded down the aisle, Bryan’s face lit up as he looked at his gorgeous, bride, seeing her for the first time.  This was just the beginning of an enchanting evening they would never forget!

After the ceremony, Stefanie and Bryan were greeted amongst family and friends with a “never ending tunnel” of wedding wands ( yes, we make them!) and bubbles as they exited the church and into their getaway vehicle, or should I say limo! They drove throughout downtown Indy taking stunning pictures while Kim King Smith Events was finalizing every detail at the incredible Indiana Roof Ballroom.

Guests were greeted at the ballroom with cocktails and a personalized bottle of Spanish Olive Oil, which also served as their place card.

When Bryan and Stefanie finally arrived, they, along with their guests, enjoyed an evening under the ballroom stars amongst a garden of imported Spanish blooms that dazzled in the beauty of candle light.

Can I say more? Yes, but I won’t! I will let you now view these breathtaking pictures of a truly breath taking day! Thank you Bryan and Stefanie for sharing your day with us!
